SOLLROC DTH button bit designs are well known and extensively used around the world. Whatever conditions you're dealing with, our drill bits make the job easier. They are fitted with proprietary cemented carbide buttons, which are designed to drill further. The drill bit bodies are made from precision hardened nickel molybdenum steel, with a compound curve shape for faster and smoother cutting and easier removal of cuttings.
The bits in the new range have an optimized head length with maximized steel support for the cemented carbide buttons, deep face grooves for excellent flushing and an aggressive cutting structure.

Face shape Features
Drop Center
For high penetration rates in soft to medium hard and fissured rock formations. Low to medium air pressures. Maximum hole deviation control.
Concave Face
The all-round application bit face special for medium hard and homogenerous rock formations. Good hole deviation control and good flushing capacity.
Convex Face
For high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard with low to medium air pressures. It is the most resistance to steel wash, and may reduce the load and wear on the gauge buttons, but poor hole deviation control.
Flat Face
This kind of face shape is suitable for very hard and abrasive rock formations in applications with high air pressures. Good penetration rates an resistance to steel wash.
Double Gauge Face
This kind of face shape is suitable for fast penetration rates in medium to hard rock formations. Designed for high air pressures and good resistance to steel wash step gauge bit.

DTH is one of the most efficient ways of drilling rock, using a rapid hammer action to break the rock into sizeable chips which are then evacuated from the bore hole by the air exhausted from the DTH Hammer. The technique provides fast drilling of accurately aligned, straight and clean holes in most ground conditions.
